Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 30, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains the cookies used by Athleex and how you can manage them, in compliance with the EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC and the Italian Data Protection Authority guidelines of 8 July 2021.

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember information between visits (for example whether you are logged in). Some cookies are essential for the site to work; others are used for profiling or analytics.

2. Which cookies Athleex uses

Athleex uses the following cookies:

Strictly necessary (always active, no consent required)

  • athleex_session — HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax cookie containing a HS256-signed JWT that keeps your authentication. Duration: 24 hours (or 30 days if you select "Remember me"). Automatically expires on logout.
  • _athleex_consent — non-HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax cookie storing your cookie preferences (necessary / analytics / marketing). Duration: 12 months.

Marketing (only with your consent)

  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd / Meta Platforms Inc.) — sets the cookies _fbp, _fbc and similar to measure the effectiveness of our Facebook and Instagram advertising, attribute conversions, and build similar audiences. We also send corresponding events server-side via Meta Conversions API. Hashed personal identifiers (email, phone, name, country) are transmitted for matching. Duration: up to 24 months. Data may be transferred to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Analytics (only with your consent)

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) — sets cookies _ga and _ga_GRLNNH64JH to measure product usage (sessions, pageviews, conversion events) in aggregated and anonymised form. Cookie lifetime: up to 24 months. Activated only after analytics consent (Consent Mode v2 default-denied). We enable IP anonymisation, ads_data_redaction and url_passthrough; data may be transferred to the United States under EU-US Data Privacy Framework + SCCs.

3. Legal basis

The legal basis differs by category:

  • Strictly necessary cookies: GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) — performance of the service contract. Italian Data Protection Authority guidelines of 8 July 2021 expressly exempt these from prior consent.
  • Marketing cookies (Meta Pixel): GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) — explicit prior consent collected via the cookie banner. You may withdraw at any time. Special-category data is never shared.
  • Analytics cookies: GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) — explicit prior consent.

4. How to manage your preferences

You can change your cookie preferences at any time:

  • Open the Cookie preferences link in the footer of any page.
  • Or clear the _athleex_consent cookie from your browser to be re-prompted on the next visit.

Withdrawing your consent is as easy as giving it. Withdrawal takes effect immediately and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
